Perth is the best place to go kitesurfing from October to May. This is summer season in Perth, Western Australia. During this season, the weather and wind conditions are ideal for some nice kiteboarding sessions. It is one of the best destinations with the most constant medium-high wind speeds !
Sun and heat are expected to be here all summer
After on and offs in October, this is the first month with constant sunny weather, only a few cloudy days are expected (not more than 5). The temperatures are also starting to rise so afternoons on the beach will feel much more comfortable.
The wind finally comes back during this month (around 13-20 knots almost everyday).
The practice of stand up paddle are really enjoyable during this month because you don't burn under the sun on your board. We give SUP lessons and hire boards on the Swan river (Point Walter, near Perth).
Summer is here ! December marks the beginning of Perth's Summer. That means super nice temperatures from 20°C during the night to 34°C in the afternoon. The winds will be here as always : easterlies in the morning and changing directions in the afternoon (often West South West thanks to the Seabreeze). Wind speeds are expected to be high during this time (15-20 knots on a regular basis).
This weather is perfect for learning, practicing or improving your kitesurfing. We give kitesurfing lessons at Applecross and Point Walter. Almost all the time, one of those 2 spots is animated by winds. These are spots of flat water, perfect to learn with a lot of space.
Soulkite also offers kite equipment hire in Perth ! If you're on a road trip or holidays without your gear, come say Hi ! We're open everyday.
These months offer also great conditions to kite in Perth. the temperatures decrease of 2 to 3 °C per month so you still have a nice month of May with highs at 21°C on average.
